Misc. deals:

Again, sorry to those of you who read for non-deal related posts but today was a "good deal day" and what's more fun than getting good deals? Answer: sharing about them!

Here goes in no specific order:

Walgreens-

I love Walgreens! I know I am a bit biased and I know they have way more patience with me and my 2 and 5 year old terrorizing the store than they would for the average customer but it's a great place for deals-crazy kids in toe or not!

Here's what I got today for a total of under $25 and I still have $9 in register rewards (so it's like having $9 more in cash to spend any time in the next two weeks!!!)

*Please note-yes, I did have formula coupons making the 5 bottles/cans of formula free but since I got them within these 3 transactions I thought I'd pass along... and I will share exactly how I got everything since so many of you have asked how you too can get "good" deals.

Transaction one:

3 bottles Similac- free after manufacturer coupons
2 cans enfamil-free after manufacturer coupons
Mr Clean Magic erasers -six of them on sale 2 for $5 ( I had 2 coupons from this past Sundays paper for B1G1) and two 75 cents off coupons from a coupon booklet I signed up to receive in the mail (sorry I can't remember what it was called at the moment or I'd send you to the site to get yours too). Then I rec'vd $2 in register rewards since it was a deal buy $10 in Mr. Clean qualifying products, get $2 back in RR.
Bayer aspirin quick dissolve crystals-$2.50 (but I got back a $2.50 RR for purchasing them).
Colgate sensitive toothpaste- $4.49 minus $1 off coupon from their website=$3.49 (but I got back a $4.50 RR for purchasing them-making it better than free)
Pert plus for men-two of them-two for $5 and I had 2 coupons from Sundays paper for $1.50 off each making them just $1 each and I got $2 in RR back)
Right guard extreme $3 and I had a $1 off coupon printable from their website-making it $2 and I got a $2 RR back
Total should've been $40 but I paid $15 OOP for all this

2nd Transaction:

Bayer aspirin quick dissolve crystals-$2.50 (but I got back a $2.50 RR for purchasing them).
Colgate sensitive toothpaste- $4.49 minus $1 off coupon from their website=$3.49 (but I got back a $4.50 RR for purchasing them-making it better than free)
Pert plus for men-two of them-two for $5 and I had 2 coupons from Sundays paper for $1.50 off each making them just $1 each and I got $2 in RR back)
Right guard extreme $3 and I had a $1 off coupon printable from their website-making it $2 and I got a $2 RR back
Then my husband walked up and gave me a $3 RR he had earned for Pepsi products for $3off and I used it to help pay for this order so my total OOP was $7

3rd Transaction-time to use those RR's I just earned!
2 Hallmark Mother's day cards! -$7
Wet ones Antibacterial wipes-$2.50 plus, big shock a $1 off coupon from their website
99 cent walgreens brand hand sanitizer
a battery for our remote (one of those small disk type ones)-$4

Used Used $12 in RR paid $1.09 OOP
Total OOP was $23
Total value for all items was over $90 (would be more with sales tax!!!).

*Please note, I do get a small % off being that my hubby is a Wag employee but it is small and my your transactions would look very similar if you took advantage of similar deals;-)

Ok, another deal-Sonic has half price drinks 2-4pm M-F (I think not on S/S though) and I got a 44 oz diet coke (didn't splurge and get a real fruit slush like I wanted;-) and when I paid my whole $1.06 I got a coupon back for a call in survey (took 1 minute) to get a free 44 oz drink on my next visit!

Another thing to pass along- My local church Faith Baptist out on 26 East is having Vacation Bible school June 22-26th M-F (Yes, that's EVERY night free of kiddos ages 3 but potty trained thru 5th grade!!!) 6-8:30pm!!!!! A whole 2 1/2 hours every night to get errands done or go on a date with hubby-wa-who! Ok, so for me I will still have Owen and Griffin but VBS is great for kids-period! I know a few other reputable churches are having VBS too-most in the mornings-so check around and enroll your kiddos-they'll love it and you'll love the free time!!!-to coupon shop perhaps???

Bzz Agent: this is a website I was turned onto to try out. It's free and it's like product reviewing. My first review just came in the mail-I'm stoked and you'll be hearing more about this product as soon as I try it (especially if you want a free sample and a coupon!!!) here's what I got:

Inside your BzzKit, you'll find a full-size tube of Root Awakening® Nourishing Moisture Shampoo and Root Awakening® Nourishing Moisture Conditioner. Pretty awesome, right? What's even more awesome is this health-boosting duo is formulated with natural Eucalyptus for stronger, shinier, and 3X healthier* hair, with gorgeous style*.

Oh, and what's even more cool than 2 full-size free bottles of product are coupons for $2 off to share and samples of the shampoo and conditioner I'm previewing-plus, 2 spray bottles of detangling spray...I don't even get tangles so I will definitely share my samples!!! Whole point is this first attempt at a product review is already exciting as I can always use shampoo and it takes only moments to write a review to give them feedback-so this is win-win! I'll be sharing my opinion about it once I've actually tried it but for now-I've smelled it and it smells great;-)

I also got a free issue [today] of Martha Stewart Living from another free trial-one year-no cc input, no payment, no s/h from rewardsgold.com -I believe.

Lastly, in honor of Cinco De Mayo (is that how you spell it?) I went to Don Pablos today (had a coupon:-)-I saw an advertisement on our table for their Habaneros Club, inquired and rec'vd a card that I came home and had to register online. Just for registering, I got a free dip sampler and was entered into a contest (contest, not program ends in 2 days though so hurry in to get your card) for $50/month for a year of Don Pablos gift cards...cool deal. Plus, there are other perks of joining, etc.

So, that summarizes my good deal day-remember, I don't find all these deals by spending hours searching and flipping the Sunday Paper-most of them come from Internet sites like the ones on my side bar-especially money saving mom...she always has the Wag deals published by Sunday each week-some weeks are lack luster-some weeks rock like this one did!

PS You may wonder-where are your 4 gazillion kiddos while you extensively typed out this boring post? Answer: 3 oldest in back yard-right to my right, which i can see and hear from our office window-I love my new fence!!! Griffin is sleeping soundly next to me:-) Yay for naps-ahem, I mean newborns who sleep 23 hours a day.

PPS I really hope this post helps someone save some $$$ during these challenging $$$ times:-)

PPPS I may post pics of my deals later, but right now I'm feeding a precious new baby-mine of course!

I thought you said that you just had a baby??!!! You're making me feel like a slacker mom!

I so want to do the coupon thing. I go through phases, but the CVS/Walgreens deals are so hard for me to wrap my head around. We're having a group at church to help tackle the confusion...maybe I'll give it a try!
